Day Of Karbala: How Hussain die at Umayyad Dynasty s Hand?

Today, we will discuss one important moment at Islamic Histoy. Day Of Karbala, day when Hussain Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Thalib killed at Umayyad Army s hand. We will discuss, how Umayyad Dynasty and Ali Ibn Abi Thalib s family conflict after Ali s die? And why Hussain killed at hand of Islamic Dynasty? Moment Of Karbala, happened at Umayyad Dynasty Era. And, it is happened to Husain Ibn Ali, at 680 AD, Husain , who stay at Medina, disagree Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan, First Umayyad Caliph s policies who make his son, Yazid as crownprince.

Hussain, at Umayyad Dynasty Era, is leader from Sect Of Shia ( Ali Ibn Abi Thalib s followers) . But, Hussain loyal to Umayyad Dynasty. He doesnt respons to Iraqians persuated to rebel Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan . Muawiya also treat Hussain, as Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s grandson with good treatment and Hussain respect to Muawiya. But after Muawiya die and replaced by his son, Yazid Ibn Muawiya, problem appear. People at City Of Kufa, Iraq, provocated Hussain to rebel Yazid. They send several provocated letter to Hussain. But Hussain doesnt provocated, he send his cousin, Muslim Ibn Uqail to Kufa for ensure situation. Muslim went to Kufa and when Muslim Ibn Uqail achieved Kufa, many regents at Kufa meet with him and promised  faithful to him, according Muslim Historian DR.Abdussyafi, their number are 12.000 regents.  Yazid Ibn Muawiya, as Umayyad Caliph  command to Governor Of Kufa, Ubayd Allah Ibn Ziyad to kill Muslim. Muslim killed with one Kufa Regent s  Community Leader who protect him, Hani Ibn Urwa . After this, People Of Kufa send letter to Hussain that this content is they promised faithful to Hussain. Hussain Ibn Ali, prepare to went to Kufa. But, one shahaba, Ibn Abbas protect him because fear about Hussain s safety. He remind Hussain, Regent Of Kufa at this time is hypocrites and love betrayal. Hussain still went to Kuffa for replied Muslim Ibn Uqail s die, because he was hear Muslim s die.

At October 680 AD,  when Hussain went to Kufa, Ubayd Allah prepare 3000 warriors under Umayr Ibn Saad Ibn Abi Waqqash, son from Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba, Saad Ibn Abi Waqqash. Hussain went to Kufa  with his family and 70 warriors. Umayr Ibn Saad, held negosiation with Hussain, because, originally, he doesnt want kill Hussain. He want peace with Hussain. His departure only because Ubayd Allah s command. Umayyad Caliph, Yazid Ibn Muawiya, though disagree Hussain killed, doesnt doing serious step for prevent it. Umayr Ibn Saad Ibn Abi Waqqash, write letter to Ubayd Allah about this negosiation, but Ubayd Allah forced Umayr fight with Hussain. Shamr Ibn Dhil Jausan, provocated Ubayd Allah to attack Hussain. Battle broke at Karbala, Iraq  and all Hussain s group, included his family and his warrior die. Residents Of Kufa dont help Hussain. They only  trap Hussain to danger. Hussain die because his head cutted and when Yazid hear it, he very sad and he accomodate several Hussain s family that saved from this tragedy at his house, included Ali Ibn Hussain ( Zayn Al-Abidin) for Zayn Al Abidin biography, you can refer this article:

Since this moment, Shia People  commemorate this event with Day Of Karbala at 10 Muharram In Islamic Calendar until today. And, according Historian Philip.K.Hitti, 10 Muharram is birthday from Shia s sects.
