Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr: Muslim Hero Who Has 1000 Men Power.

Today, we will discuss about one Muslim  Hero who has power like 1000 men, according Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shidiq. He is Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr At-Tamim. He popular as one knight at Rashidun Caliphate Army and also poet who documented Muslim Conquest at Persia by his poem. And, at this article, we will discuss about his role at Rashidun Caliphate conquest. Please read this article until end, because, we will discuss about one most influenced Islamic Hero at Early Islamic History. Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr At-Tamimi, is one hero from Tribes Of Tamim.  He convert to Islam  at age of Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Before this, he is poet at Arabia Peninsula.

Al-Qaqa participated at war againt Persian Empire at era of Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shidiq. He became cavalrymen at Rashidun Army at war againt Persian Empire.  According Historian Ibn Kathir, war againt Persian Empire at era of Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shidiq, happened because Hormudz, Persian Governor at Ubullah, one fortress of Persian Empire, attack Terrain Of Arabia. And Caliph Abu Bakr As-Shidiq send Khalid Ibn Walid and Qaqa Ibn Amr with 18.000 army to Ubullah for attack Hormudz. According Historian Ibn Kathir, Hormudz is cruel governor. Hormudz bring his army to face Khalid and Rashidun Army. They face to face at Kazima, one place beetwen Bashra, Iraq and State Of Bahrain. Before battle, Khalid fight againt Hormudz one by one with sword. When Khalid strangled Hormudz, Hormudz s guardians forward and tried to help Hormudz. Al-Qaqa forward and attack Hormudz s guardians until they killed at this battle. Hormudz also killed at battle and Rashidun Army defeat Persian Army at this battle.  At 633 AD, Khalid Ibn Al-Walid was achieve City Of Hira after defeated several Persian Garrison, Hira is  one Persian Basic at Iraq.  City Of Hira, ruled by Kingdom Of Lakhmi, Arabian Kingdom at Iraq that became Persian s vassal.  This kingdom is Arabic-Christian Kingdom that under Persian s supremacy. Khalid Ibn Al-Walid held covenant with King Of Lakhmi, Qabishah Ibn Iyas Ibn Hayyan At-Tayy.

When Conquest Of Iraq from Persian Empire, Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr always accompany Khalid when they faced Persian Army. When this conquest, Al-Qaqa write his work about this conquest,  collection of poems about Conquest Of Iraq that titled Futuhat Islamiyyah  ( Islamic Conquest). According Palestinian Historian Jihad Turbani, his work is primary historical source for Early Islamic History.

Al-Qaqa also join Battle Of Yarmouk that lead by Khalid Ibn Al-Walid againt Byzantine Empire. For  know details about Battle Of Yarmouk, you can read this article:

At Era Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab s goverment  , Al-Qaqa also participated at war againt Persian Empire.  At this era, broke Battle Of Qadisiyya againt Persian Empire at 14 H/ 638 AD. King Of Persia, Yazdagard III was send 80.000 warriors, according Armenian Writer, Sebeos, who write at 650 AD,  under Commander Rustam , an Armenian General who became Regent Of Iraq.  Rashidun Army only 12.000 warriors under Commander Saad Ibn Abi Waqqash. At this battle, Muslims Army suffered hardness because they only bring horse cavalry and must faced Persian Elephant Army.  According Historian Ibn Kathir, Al Qaqa is one main knight from Muslims Army. He fight bravely at this battle until Persian Army defeated and 30.000 Persian Army killed and Rustam die, because killed at Al Qaqa s hand.  Al-Qaqa Ibn Amr also join several battle againt Persian Empire at era of Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab. At 16 TH, Al-Qaqa lead Muslims Army againt Persian Army at Battle Of Jalula, 100.000 Persian Army killed and Al-Qaqa conquer City Of Hulwan at Iraq. At Battle Of Nahawand , that broke at 21 H , Al-Qaqa can kill Persian Commander, Firuzan, and conquer City Of Hamadzan, Iran from Persian Empire.

Al-Qaqa die at 40 H, at era of Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Thalib after became  peacemaker who commanded by Caliph Ali for mediated Muslims internal conflict.
