Today, we will discuss about blindman who studied to Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He is a blindman, but he has a spirit for studied to Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum, is on from blindman at Mecca, at age of Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He convert to Islam when Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam preach at  Mecca. His father named Qais Ibn Zaid. His title Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum ( son from blindmother), because he born with blind condition.

Abdullah love studied Al-Quran ( Holy Book Of Islam), one day Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam talk to several Pagan Quraish leader, such as Utbah Ibn Rabiah, Shayba Ibn Rabiah, Amr Ibn Hisham/ Abu Jahal, Umayyah Ibn Khalaf, and Walid Ibn Mughirah, and invited them to convert to Islam. And, Abdullah Ibn Ummi Makum came to Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam  for studied Al-Quran. Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam ignore Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum. Allah Subhanahuwataala scold Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam with Surah Abasa; Verses 1-16.

When Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam moved to Medina at 1 TH years of Hijriyya, Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum and Mushab Ibn Umair became Islam Teacher at Medina. They teach Islamic Teaching to People Of Medina. Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum also became Muadzin ( Adzan caller) at Medina. When at Ramadhan Month ( fasting month for Muslims), Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum call adzan ( prayer calling for Muslim) when  time of Subh. And, Bilal Ibn Rabbah call adzan when night time.Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum doesnt late for his duty. He also excited for join several battles for defend Islam from enemy. One of battles that join by Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum is Battle Of Qadisiyya.

At 15 H, Sassanid Empire Of Persia want attack Muslim Territories, at era of Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab. Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab send 30.000 army for attack Sassanid Empire. Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum join this army, and he die as martyr at this battle.

From this story, we can learn. Abdullah Ibn Ummi Maktum is disable person, but he has tall spirit for studied Islam. We also like this, our deficiency dont  blocking us for achieve success.
