Khair Addin Barbarossa: Pirates Who Save Spanish Muslims. Part 1

Do you watch movie at pirates? If yes, maybe you often hear name Barbarossa the pirates, but do you know? Whos Barbarossa actually? How his job as pirate? In this article, we will discuss about historical character of Barbarossa who save Spanish Muslims from genocyde that runned by Kingdom Of Spain at 15-16 TH Century.  But, before this, please subscribe my blog for more information about Islamic History, and read this article until end to get complete information about this character and his role at history. Khair Addin Barbarossa is son from Ottoman Officer from Albania and an Spanish Muslim Woman. He has a brother, his name is Aruj Barbarossa. At 1429 AD, Spanish Army from Kingdom Of Castille under King Ferdinand conquered Granada, Last Muslim Kingdom at Spain.King Ferdinand promised Muslims at Granada have a freedom from run their faith. But, Kingdom Of Castille broke this statement. At 1499 AD, a priest named Ximenes, under commander from King Ferdinand and his wife, Queen Isabella, forced Muslim to became Christians and burn Islamic Book. At 1501 AD, Muslims must leave Granada.

Kingdom Of Castille also forced Muslim to convert religion with threat that if they dont convert, they will tortured by scarry tools.

Khair ad-Din and his brother, Aruj, do mission from Ottoman Sultan,Salim I, for save Muslims at Spain, they lead Ottoman Navy sailed from East Mediterrania Sea to West Mediterrania Sea. They do an ambush to Spain cities and save Muslims that prisoned by Spanish Army at secret room. They do it for many times.

But, Aruj die when faced Spanish Army at Tlemcen, Algeria. He ganged up by Spanish Army when defended City Of Tlemcen.

At 1519 AD, Khair Addin became leader of Algeria under Ottoman Empire, he next his brother s struggle with attack Spain s coastal and liberate Muslim that prisoned as slave by Kingdom Of Spain.

At 1528 AD, King Of Spain, Charles V, appointed Genoese admiral, Andrea Doria for faced Khair Ad-Din.

At 1530 AD, Khair Addin defeat Spanish Navy under Andrea Doria at Algier, Capital Of Algeria. Andrea Doria attack Port Of Chercel, at the west of Algier City. Doria and his army faced great resistance from Moriscos ( Spanish Muslims) that defended this city. Khair Addin send reinforcement to  Port Of Chercel, Spanish Army retreat and several Spanish Army who do resistance prisoned by Khair Addin.

At 1532 AD, Khair Addin attack Coastal Of Genoa and Sicilia, and at 1534 AD, Khair Addin prepared 10.000 warrior to captured Tunisia. Charles V lead navies that bring army from Spanish, Portuguese, Germany, and Italy, they landed at Tunisia and forced Khair Addin to retreat, and also , slaughtered 20.000 civilina at this ambush.
