How Mongols Received Islam?Part 2: Mongol Dynasty Of Persia.

Before this, we have discuss about Mongols Dynasty at East Europe. Now, we will discuss about Mongols Dynasty at Persia, Mongols Dynasty at Persia received Islam at the middle century, after the ruin of Abbasid Caliphate at Baghdad. At 656 H, Bagdad fall to hand of Mongols who lead by Hulagu Khan. Islamic Caliphate appear from map of the world,  The Mongols attack Bagdad and slaughtered many civilian, Mongols Army helped by Ruler Of Mosul. Last Abbasid Caliph Of Baghdad,  Al-Mustashim, killed at this tragedy.

But, Mongols doesnt succeded ruled Syria and Egypt, although their expedition succeded take several Syria s territores, but, at 658 H, Mongols Army destroyed by Mameluke Army under Sayf Ad Din Quthuz, an Turkish Commander who became Mameluke s leader, at the Battle Of Ayn Jalut, about Sayf Ad Din Quthuz and Battle Of Ayn Jalut, Insha Allah, we will discuss at other time.

Hulagu Khan fouded Mongols Dynasty at Persia, named Ilkhanat Dynasty, Hulagu attack Muslim Community at North Mongol Empire for many times, but he command The Muslim Scholar for educated his 2 nd son, Tagudar.

Hulagu replaced by his son, Abaqa.  Abaqa fight againts Mameluke Dynasty who ruled Egypt and Syria, and tried ruled Anatolia.  Abaqa married Christian Woman, daughter from Byzantine Emperor. Abaqa die at 680 H, and he replaced by his brother, Tagudar who was convert to Islam.

Tagudar establish peace relation with Mameluka Sultanate under Sultan Qalawun.. Unfortunately, Tagudar killed by his uncle , Argun Khan. Argun Khan kill Taghudar and seize throne of Ilkhanat. Arghun allied with Crusaders and Armenian to attack Mameluke Dynasty and North Mongol Empire. The story of North Mongol Empire have we discuss at article bellow:

After Arghun, Ilkhanad Dynasty ruled by Gaykhatu and Baydu who only ruled at briefly time.

At 694 H, Mongols Empire Of Persia lead by Ghazan, in his early life, he is buddhis, but at his age, broke war againts Mameluke Dynasty, after his die, Ghazan replaced by Ojleitu who embraced Shiites, the last Khan of Ilkhanid Dynasty. Ilkhanad Last King Is Muhammad Khudabanda, who recorded  by Muslim Traveler, Ibn Bathuta, at Iraq,.

After Abu Said s die,Ilkhanat Dynasty split to small counrtry included Jalayri and Artuqi and chaos happened at Persia, until the arrive of Tamerlane, who was we discuss at other article, at the next article, we will discuss about Timurid Dynasty that established by Tamerlane and his descedants.
