Today, we will discuss about Raja Ibn Haiwah, arcitecht from Dome Of Rock at Jerusalem,Palestine exactly at Al-Aqsa Mosque. He is one important figure at Umayyad Dynasty Era. And, he also one first Muslims Scholars at Era Of Umayyad Dynasty. Raja Ibn Haywa, is one Palestinian Scholar at Umayyad Dynasty Era. He born at Beit Shean, Palestine. Raja born from two parents who are Christians, but convert to Islam because preach from Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab, second caliph from Rashidun Dynasty.

From his theen age, Raja Ibn Haiwah studied to several shahabas, such as Abu Darda, Abu Said Al-Khudry, Ubadah Ibn Shamit, Muawiya Ibn Abu Sufyan, and other.  At Umayyad Caliphate, Raja became prime minister from several Umayyad Caliphs, such as Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan and Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz. Beetwen 683-692 AD, Umayyad Dynasty suffered game of throne and instability because rebellion from Abdullah Ibn Zubayr that shake state s stability, until broke several battle beetwen Umayyad Army and Abdullah Ibn Zubayr s supporter. And, at this time, Raja Ibn Haywah sit with Umayyad Caliph, Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan. And, one man report to Caliph Abdul Malik one Abdullah Ibn Zubayr s supporter.  And, Caliph Abdul Malik captured this supporter and he will kill him. Raja Ibn Haywah said to Caliph Abdul Malik: “Oh, leader of Muslims, really, Allah was give you power that you love, and do for Allah with forgive him.

Hear Raja Ibn Haiwah s statement, Caliph Abdul Malik stop from his anger and he forgive this people. At 91 H, Umayyad Caliph, Al-Walid Ibn Abdul Malik, doing hajj with Raja Ibn Haiwah. At this time, Caliph Al-Walid expand Mosque Of Nabawi at Medina.  When Sulayman Ibn Abdul Malik became caliph, Raja Ibn Haiwah handled important position at Umayyad Dynasty.

Raja Ibn Haiwah, also became arcitecht that renovated Al-Aqsa Mosque, exactly add Dome Of The Rock ( Arabs: Qubbatu Shakrah ) to Mosque Al-Aqsa.  Building Of Dome Of The Rock, happened when era of Caliph Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan. Exactly at 691 AD.  Raja became arcitecht that designed structure from Dome Of The Rock.  According Historian Marshall Hodgson, Dome Of The Rock is aculturation from Islam, Judaism, and Christianity Arcitechture.

At 98 H/717 AD , Caliph Sulaiman Ibn Abdul Malik send his brother, Maslama Ibn Abdul Malik for captured Constantinople , Capital Of Byzantine Empire, from Byzantine Empire s supremacy . When this day, Caliph Sulaiman feel seriously sick and he feel his  die is very near. Caliph Sulaiman consultated with Raja Ibn Haiwah, who  approriate became his successor. He said to Raja Ibn Haiwah, he will make his son who was child, Ayyub, as next caliph but Raja said: “he not yet puberty and you must make good person for your successor. After this, Caliph Sulaiman said to Raja: how your opinion about his son, Dawud, o Abu Al Miqdam ( Raja s nickname). Raja said:’ he now at Constantinople with Muslims Army and you dont know, he was die or still alive? Caliph Sulaiman said: “how with Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz? Raja agree it and after die of Caliph Sulaiman, Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz became Next Umayyad Caliph. Raja die at 730 AD. At his life, he was give big contribution to Umayyad Dynasty with his role as scholar, arcithect, and prime minister.
