Umair Ibn Wahb: Islam Enemy Who Convert to Islam.

Today, i will discuss about Umair Ibn Wahb. Maybe, his name not popular at shahaba s name, but he is one Islam Enemy who convert to Islam at hand of Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam and became Islamic Preacher after convert to Islam. Ok, lets start it, Umair is one from Pagan Quraish who life at 7 TH Century. He follow Battle Of Badr with Pagan Quraish againt Muslim under Propeth Muhammad Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

Battle Of Badr broke at 2 TH years of Hijriyya. The factor of this battle is Pagan Quraish robs several Muslim Assets. At this battle, Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam won this battle and 70 from 950 Quraish Warriors die. Umair join this battle and his son, Wahb prisoned by Muslim Army. Umair fear his son tortured by Muslim Army. Umair back to Mecca and he prepared his weapon to kill Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

He prepare his sword and give a poison to his sword and went to Medina to kill Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He tried entered mosque to search Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Umar Ibn Khattab, one of Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam s shahaba ,  prevent him. Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam came to Umair and ask why he go to mosque with sword? Umair try to lied he came for prisoner exchange. But, Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam can know Umair came for kill him, because  Allah tell him about this.

Umair amazed and he convert to Islam at this place. He said Statement Of Shahada( Terms for convert to Islam) and Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam command to liberate Umair s son and teach Umair about religion.

Umair learn Al-Quran along his time at Medina, and explore religion until he understand about Islam Religion. One day, he please permit to Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam to preach at Mecca. Rasulullah Shallahu Alaihi Wasallam permit him and he preach at Mecca until many Quraish convert to Islam.

Unfortunately, we not find sources about Umair s life after this event because he is unpopular shahaba and his data that recorded is not enough. For now, still mysterious how his role after this episode and where he die? But, from this history, we can studied, dont curse bad people , because bad people, tomorrow can became good people  because Allah can change people s heart.
