Said Ibn Jubayr: Story Of African Demonstrant At Umayyad Caliphate.

At Umayyad Dynasty Era, ever character of African Demonstrant who brave criticize Umayyad Governor At Iraq s brutality, Al-Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf. He is Said Ibn Jubayr. This story is dont popular at Islamic History, but it is one interest part from Umayyad Dynasty Era. Said Ibn Jubayr born at 665 AD, he is one African from Ethiopia. He has black skin and curly hair. And, he dont has Arabian Blood at his body. But, he popular as diligent student. He studied at several shahabas such as Abu Saeed Al-Khudri and Abd Allah Ibn Umar.  And, he also studied Koran ( Islamic Holy Book ), Hadiths, and Koran Interpretation to Abd Allah Ibn Abbas. Because his skill at read Koran, he can became Imam ( Praying Leader) at Month Of Ramadhan. He can read Koran completely at one praying.  And, he became one spiritual teacher at City Of Kufa, Iraq.  Many people study to him and he stay at Kufa, that under goverment of Umayyad Governor Of Iraq, Al-Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf At-Thaqafi, who popular as cruel governor.

One day, Al-Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf send Ibn Al-Ashats to lead army for attack Sijjistan, one territories beetwen Iran and Afghanistan.  Sijjistan,at this time, lead by Ratbil, one Turkish King. Ibn Al-Ashats can conquer several cities at Sijjistan until he decide to stop expansion until Muslims Army repair several cities at Sijjistan and he tell it to Al-Hajjaj. But, Al Hajjaj considered him as coward and Al Hajjaj threat Ibn Al-Ashats that he will fired if doesnt next war . Ibn Al-Ashats  rebel to Al-Hajjaj and confrontation broke beewen Al-Hajjaj and Ibn Al-Ashats group.

When war broke, Al-Hajjaj get news from his mayors that many  Ahl Dhimah ( Non Muslims who life under Islamic Goverment), convert to Islam  for escaped Jizya ( tax from Non Muslims under Islamic Goverment, such as Zakat for Muslims) and moved from their villages to cities for work. Al-Hajjaj command to his mayors to drive out them to their villages. Al-Hajjaj and his mayors, also command women and children from ex-Ahl Dhimah  worker to walk with their foot until villages. Ibn Al-Ashats command to Islamic Scholars to join resistance againt  Al-Hajjaj s brutality and several Islamic Scholars join with Ibn Al-Ashats, such as Said Ibn Jubayr, Abdurrahman Ibn Abu Layla, As-Shabi, Abu Bukhturi, and other.  Broke battle and Ibn Al-Ashats defeated. Said Ibn Jubayr prisoned by Al-Hajjaj.  Said forced faced Al-Hajjaj with handcuffed hand and when faced Al-Hajja, he criticize Al-Hajjaj s policy that contradicitife with Koran s teaching , because Al-Hajjaj, is cruel governor . Al-Hajjaj angry and he decide to kill Said Ibn Musayyab . Said Ibn Musayyab punished by die punishment. He beheaded by  Al-Hajjaj s guard.  But, 15 days after kill Said, Al-Hajja sick and his sick add severe. He also haunted by nightmare, when he sleep, he dream that Said Ibn Jubayr came and strangled him, and he die after this. Story Of Said Ibn Jubayr, became  lesson for us, that bravely  for resistance brutality is so important, everyone us.
