Source: GenSaladin

I often hear the claims from HAMAS s haters. Why we fight for Palestine? In Islamic History, Palestine is not important, only suburbs territory. Is FAKE claim. Why such? Lets we discuss.

Claim Palestine in  Islamic History is not important territories show that they doesn’t understand Islamic History. In the Islamic History, Palestine is very important territories. What proofs? Let we search.

At 7AD century, Islamic Troops liberate Palestine from Byzantine s colonization. They captured many cities in Palestine, include Gaza and Jerusalem. It is do by Caliph Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, Second Islamic Caliph. According Historian Tamim Ansary, Muslim s raids at Byzantine territories because Byzantine moved their troops to attack Islamic Territories. The answer, why Islamic Troops moved to Palestine? Because Palestine is important coastal for Byzantine Army.  According Historian Hugh Kennedy, Palestine is basic from Byzantine Navy. So, exist likelyhood, Byzantine Navy  plan moved from Palestine to attack Islamic Territories. So, Palestine is very strategic territories.

Then, Proof Palestine is very important territory in Islamic History is Qubah Sakrah ( now part from Masjidil Aqsha), according Historian Ahmet Kuru, Qubah Sakrah is Islamic Monument that is mirror form Islam, Sassanid, and Byzantine culture. Caliph Omar Ibn Khattab also build Dome Of The Rock ( now part from Masjidil Aqsha) after his conquest from Byzantine. Clear , it is big mosque. And in Islamic urban planning, mosque is society center.  And, main mosque is built in important places, example, Sultan Mehmet II build Aya Sofia Mosque at City Of Istanbul, that important city in Ottoman Empire. The Question, if Palestine doesn’t important territories, why Muslims built one of  main mosque in here?

At 1096 AD, Palestine fall in the hands of Crusader, they succeded captured Beirut, Ramlah, and of course, Jerusalem. They kill 40.000 Muslims at Jerusalem  and built European Kingdom At Jerusalem and around Palestine, Islamic Forces in around Palestine many times attack Crusader position at Palestine, include Fathimid Dynasty who embraced Shiites s flow. If Palestine doesn’t important territories in Islamic History, impossible islamic forces united for liberate Palestine from Crusader.

Next, claims that Ottoman Empire doesn’t care to Palestine territories. In 16 th century, Portuguese want colonized Jerusalem, the central city of Palestine, and Islamic Dynasty who control Palestine, Mameluke, exactly join Portuguese s coalition with Safavid Dynasty At Iran. At 1516 AD, Ottoman Army captured Palestine from Mameluke Dynasty, If Ottoman Dynasty doesn’t care to Palestine, why Ottoman Dynasty doesn’t permit Portuguese control Palestine?

Palestine still in Ottoman s reign until World War II. And Ottoman lead Palestine justly, if Ottoman doesn’t care to Palestine, certainly, Ottoman maybe squeeze Palestinian for his business, remember Palestine is important territories.

In this article, I only answer claims Palestine is not important at Islamic History and in history, Muslims never care to Palestine, for Palestine history, include Crusade and Israel s colonization, I will discuss it other time, because it is too long for explained in one article.

The point, hateful claim about Islamic History, exacty out from people who doesn’t understand Islamic History, and it is can contradicted easily, so, studying Islamic History is very important, so that we not easly fooled by hateful claims, that circulating in social media.
